WAAPA affiliates to the
Global Alcohol Policy Alliance (GAPA)
Accra, Ghana- The Board of Directors of the Global Alcohol Policy Alliance (GAPA) on 7th October 2017 at its Board meeting in Melbourne, Australia passed a resolution to accept the West African Alcohol Policy Alliance (WAAPA) as an affiliate body. “We are very happy to welcome you formally into the network” Mr Øystein Bakke; Secretary, Global Alcohol Policy Alliance (GAPA)
The West African Alcohol Policy Alliance (WAAPA) is a coalition of civil society organizations with the goal of advocating and assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of scientific-based alcohol policies and programmes in West Africa.
WAAPA is involved in the monitoring and sharing of information on alcohol and alcohol related issues among its member organisations, development and international partners.
